RE: Chevy Astro Van TV

My Parents tow a Jayco Jayflight 19bh with their 2004 Astro. Weight is about the same. Dad claims it tows just fine, and much better than any of the pop-ups they used to own.

RE: Awning Lights..Do You Leave Them Plugged In All Night?

I unplug mine at night because I know it upsets other people, but couldn't care less if others do or don't. It is gonna take a lot more than someones lights to keep any of my family up at night.

RE: What hooked you on camping...and your fondest memory?

Been camping for as long as I can remember with parents up until I was sixteen. Money was tight for my family so it was the only way we could afford to go anywhere. I hated setting up the Coleman popup we had and it was small and cramped for the 6 of us that went camping.
Flash forward to a little over 2 years ago and I was sitting out in our back yard looking up at the sky and I was thinking I missed seeing all the stars that were visible when i was younger. Then I remembered that I could see the best star-filled skys when camping. Also started to remember the only thing I hated about camping was the stupid pop-up. Talked my wife into renting a cabin, took the parents and other relatives and had a blast even though it rained all weekend. We had so much fun we bought our now gone Jayfeather 19h the following weekend at the RV show. Now we camp about 30 days a year.

RE: Are Jaycos' Good Trailers?

We are on our second Jayco and have had no problems with either. They are good trailers in my opinion.

RE: No water in front kitchen

We just had the same problem with ours last time out, although it was our second trip. The faucet aerator was clogged. I just took it off and cleaned it out, then water was running again.
Smart - I hadn't thought of that. I can sure see that happening with the fuzz left on lines when they are cut if not cleaned properly.
That is exactly what it was filled with, a glob of it stuck together.

RE: Formaldehyde in our TT's?

I feel sorry for the RV industry. If I walk into a building and can't breathe I open a window or get out. I guess I should get a lawyer instead.
My Jayco has a sticker by the door warning of formaldehyde gas and says to ventilate the trailer if you become irritated. Not sure if all trailers do but I noticed at the RV show quite a few did.

RE: do you hear what I hear (update)

It called us as well, we traded in our jayco 19h for a 26bh. The 19h was a bit to cramped for 4 of us for 9 days. It was a great trailer though and served us well for the 1 1/2 years that we had it.
